Corrado Accardo After graduating in Management Engineering in 2002, I joined S.P.A. Autovie Venete, a joint- stock governmental enterprise and concessionary company of motorways A4 Venezia – Trieste, A23 Palmanova – Udine, A28 Portogruaro – Conegliano and A34 Villesse – Gorizia, for a total of 200 kilometers.At present, I manage a staff of 26 persons including land surveyors, quantity surveyors and engineers. Everyone is involved in maintenance activities and in the construction of the 3rd lane of Motorway A4 simultaneously (job value being 90 million euro).Our office undertakes maintenance works for an annual amount of about 9 million euro. Furthermore, we perform new works.Our office is fully involved in tender preparation and work supervising since the very beginning to the completion of each project. In this process, I am the design coordinator and site engineer. I think I have reached good experience and knowledge in all these various subjects of civil engineering both as site management manager of maintenance activities and as of new constructions.I received my Ph.D. on march 2021 at the University of Parma (supervisor: Prof. Gabriele Tebaldi). My doctoral thesis aimed at increasing the understanding on the theory of fracture mechanics for the evaluation of the performance decay of bituminous conglomerates for highway pavements.Corrado can be contacted at hrdocorrado@gmail.com
