The University, on the basis of special agreements entered into with foreign universities as part of internationalization projects, offers international educational pathways that allow the acquisition of a double degree.

Study courses aimed at awarding a double, multiple or joint degree are study paths organized with foreign universities that provide forms of curriculum integration and structured student mobility schemes, with mutual recognition of educational activities.

Double degree is in fact an integrated program of study that allows students to attend a part of their university career abroad at a partner university in agreement, obtaining, at the end of the course, both the Italian and the foreign degree and guaranteeing to see the degree recognized in both countries.

The main characteristics that distinguish dual, multiple or joint degree programs are as follows:

  • mobility: the student/student attends part of the career at the University of Parma and part at the foreign universities involved;
  • complete recognition of activities carried out abroad;
  • achievement, at the end of the course, of a double degree (one from the University of Parma and one from the foreign partner university) or a multiple degree (one from the University of Parma and at least two others from foreign partner universities) or joint degree (a single degree awarded by the University and at least one partner university).

Double degree/multiple degree programs are unique opportunities that can offer the student/student the valuable advantage of benefiting academically, professionally and culturally from different contexts and acquiring transversal skills: a specific added value that generates an international profile ready to face global challenges.
