Filippo Leurini

Filippo Leurini is currently a math teacher in high school.
His main field of interest is the didactics of mathematics. Indeed, he’s interested in teaching maths to the younger generations, especially through the use of innovative tools. For this purpose, he specialized through specific studies of psychology, pedagogy and new teaching methodologies.
In 2014 he received his master’s degree in Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Parma (summa cum laude). After that, he obtained his PhD at the University of Parma in March 2018. His doctoral thesis focused on the study of a new and innovative material named FRCM. His dissertation concerned the experimental and numerical study of cement-based composites (FRCM) for the strengthening of RC structural members.
During his PhD, he has also provided teaching support to the classes of Structural Engineering (Prof. Cerioni) in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Degree Course.
Filippo’s research interests included the analysis, the design and the optimization (with cementitious materials) of RC structures, such as beams and hollow-core slabs.
