Fabrizio Rechichi

Fabrizio Rechichi  obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineer and Architecture at University of Parma (Italy) on April 2021. His doctoral thesis, “Definition and implementation of an information model for Cultural Heritage”, is about innovative information systems for the management of Cultural Heritage; the final product of his research, CHIMERA, is released under Open Source BSD-2 License (https://github.com/3DSG-dev/): CHIMERA is a ready to work web information system that merges HBIM and HGIS concepts inside an unique integrated system, specifically designed for the requirements of Cultural Heritage. CHIMERA and the previously developed systems (BIM3DSG and WEBBIM) are currently used for the management of many of the most important Italian heritages, used by Veneranda Fabbrica for Duomo di Milano, Procuratoria di San Marco, Veneranda Biblioteca e Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, Ente di gestione dei Sacri Monti. The work is the result of the research carried out by the project L.I.F.E., funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 681673), directed by C. Rossi and carried out at Politecnico di Milano (https://www.life.polimi.it)

Rechichi Fabrizio worked since 2012, just after taking a Master’s Degree in Informatic Engineer at Politecnico di Milano, on this broad topic as Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), with the role of ICT development manager of 3D Survey Group.

He also work as Freelancer since 2012 for many areas: i) corporate consultancy and assistance, realization and management of servers, cloud, networks, firewalls, workstations, VPN, remote access; ii) development of custom software and web applications, in any language, for PC, tablet, smartphone; iii) websites, e-commerce, augmented and virtual reality, graphic realizations; iv) analysis, solutions, assistance, training, design, implementation and management of innovative products and services by exploiting the most advanced and modern technologies; v) BIM systems, GIS systems, heritage survey, photogrammetry, 3D modelling; vi) video analysis and video processing, SportTagging software.
