Eva Coïsson

Eva Coïsson (Firenze, 1977), since 2014 Associate Professor in Architectural Restoration at the University of Parma, is an engineer since 2001, and received her PhD in 2005 with a dissertation on the historical and analysis of the structural disorders of the Parma Cathedral.
From 2017 to 2019 she was Vice-Director of the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma and Head of the Bachelor Course in Architectural Sciences.
Her research is mainly focused on the diagnosis and analysis of the stability of ancient structures, aimed at their conservation. In particular, her research inspected, through interdisciplinary approaches, the development of strengthening techniques, compatible with the principles of restoration, the instrumental and historical monitoring of the structural disorders, the criteria for the definition of intervention priority lists for the protection of cultural heritage at a territorial level. Her research activity developed mainly in Parma, with some research missions both in Italy and abroad (Turkmenistan, China, Syria, Albania, Luxemburg, France).
She is author of more than 100 scientific papers and member of editorial committees of scientific papers and book series.
