In 2003 she received the degree in Master of Science (summa cum laude) in Civil Engineering (major in Structures) at the University of Parma. In 2007 Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (major in Structural Mechanics) at the University of Parma. From 2007 to 2016 Post-doc fellow in structural engineering (ICAR/09) at The Dept. of Civil, Environmental, Land Management and Architecture of the University of Parma. From December 2016, Assistant professor of structural engineering at the University of Parma. March 2018-2027: Associate Professor Qualification, National Scientific Habilitation, Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.
Teaching activity for the course of "Analysis and Controls of Structures” within the first cycle degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering Course and within the Master degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental and Land Management Engineering Courses, and for the course of “Analysis and conservation of existing structures - Assessment of structural safety” within the Master degree in Architecture and Sustainable Cities Course.
Main research activities: Structural design and optimization, through nonlinear FE modelling; analysis and design of RC and FRC concrete structures (ties, beams, slabs, tunnel linings), also in presence of fire; analysis and design of precast RC structures (hollow-core slabs, thin-walled roof elements); experimental characterization and numerical modeling of autoclaved aerated concrete masonry structures; experimental characterization and numerical modeling of FRCM composites for structural retrofitting; vulnerability assessment of existing structures.
Author of more than 50 paper for scientific journals and proceeding of national and international conferences. Reviewer of papers for several international Journals. Member of fib Task Group 7.7 “Sustainable concrete masonry components and structures”.
