Andrea Terrone
Andrea Terrone is a civil and environmental engineer specializing in geotechnical engineering working for Jacobs. After receiving his PhD in geotechnical engineering on the subject of rainfall-induced shallow landslides risk mitigation at the University of Parma in 2015 (supervisor Prof. Lorella Montrasio), he developed his geotechnical design and site experience in Dubai, UAE and Melbourne, Australia with Atkins and Jacobs.
Experience includes design of embankments and cuts, shallow, piled and combined piled-raft foundations including tall tower foundations, shored excavations, dredging and reclamation, tunneling, desk study reporting, ground investigation scoping, logging and supervision, interpretative reporting and geotechnical design reporting. He has worked on a wide range of projects including property, rail, road and marine projects in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Australia. Andrea is experienced in 2D and 3D finite element modelling.
Andrea has participated in the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Merit 2018 competition, an international construction business simulation, leading Jacobs Dubai team to the Merit Finals.
